In her 13 years of experience in the art world, Olga Dvorak has collaborated with a wide range of artists as both a gallerist and a collector. Dvorak graduated from the Philosophy Faculty of Charles University, Prague. Before starting her own company, Dvorak served a couple of years in the international auction house Dorotheum in Prague and Vienna - in the Department of contemporary art and became a qualified auctioneer in Dorotheum Vienna (Contemporary Sales and Classical modern).
Dvorak began her public career in the arts in 2002 as a co-founder of the Art factory Inc., an art advisory company with it´s own contemporary collection.
In 2003 she co-founded and became director and curator of Sculpture Grande – an international outdoor festival of contemporary sculptures in the center of Prague. In 2005 she co-founded and became Director of Gallery Art Factory, a non-profit arts organisation dedicated to the realizing of difficult–to-produce artworks by important contemporary artists. High profile public projects include Dennis Oppenheim´s, Julian Opie´s, Sylvie Fleury´s, Erwin Wurm´s, Mark Titchner´r or Stephan Balkenhol´s artworks shown in public places. Olga attended and was awarded a higher certificate at the Sotheby's Art market and Connoisseurship Program in New York City.
In 2008 Dvorak co-founded with partner Petr Sec a private company DSC, Dvorak Sec Contemporary an advisory service for the purchase and selling of contemporary art in long term strategic planning to meet collection goals.
In 2011 Dvorak co-founded with Petr Sec the non profit project and company, Artbanka that helps and supports young Czech and Slovak artists. In June 2011 they founded the Artbanka Museum of Young Art – a museum dedicated to the confrontation of the youngest art. AMoYA became to help diverse and innovative activities in contemporary art and to find a way to their Czech as well as international audience, to be perceived, supported and seen in context.
Being a longtime advocate for contemporary art, Dvorak continues working on her Ph.D.doctorate at The University of Economics, Prague., specializing in intellectual and cultural property issues. Dvorak currently teaches „International Art and its Markets“ courses at the Faculty of Business Administration at The University of Economics, Prague.
