WHAT IS AMoYA?
- one of the youngest and largest non-for-profit art museums in the Czech Republic.

AMoYA presents its vision to the public by offering a very bold programme taking place in the unique atmosphere of a Baroque palace in the most historical part of Prague, where visitors – floor after floor, room after room – familiarize themselves with the world of contemporary Czech and international art. AMoYA was opened in June 2011 in Karlova street in the Baroque Colloredo-Mansfeld Palace devastated during the communist era; it has become a challenge for artists trying to transform the space – e.g. by the site-specific projects of Ugo Rondinone, Jiří David, David Černý and many others.
AMoYA, founded in 2011, is a museum established by Artbanka, a non-for-profit project supporting young art. It provides a respectable platform for the activities of Artbanka, one of the historically most important non-for-profit endeavours for the benefit of the art.
AMoYA is here to help diverse and innovative activities in the contemporary art to find way to their Czech as well as international audience, to be perceived, supported and seen in the context.
